When & How to Use the Gratus Studio Footmuff?
Our footmuff is designed to keep your baby safe, warm, and cozy during the coldest months. With an approximate warmth level of 3.0–3.5 TOG, it’s perfect for chilly days and even freezing winter weather — down to around -10°C, as long as your baby is dressed appropriately underneath.

Safety Tips:
Always check your baby’s temperature by feeling the back of their neck or chest — they should feel warm, never sweaty or overheated.
When using indoors, never leave your baby unsupervised.
Adjust your baby’s clothing underneath depending on the outside temperature:
Above +15°C → Too warm for outdoor use.
+5°C to +15°C → Light indoor clothes underneath.
0°C to +5°C → Warm winter layers underneath.
Below 0°C → Dress baby warmly and consider adding a light blanket inside.

II’ll carefully handcraft your footmuff in my studio (production time: 2–3 weeks) and ship it straight to your home — ready for warm, cozy walks with your little one.

When I started preparing for my baby, I wanted products that were safe, sustainable, and beautifully made — but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for.

Will the footmuff fit my stroller?
Yes! Since each footmuff is made to order, you can provide the measurements of your stroller carrycot (the newborn stroller attachment, not the sporty seat). This ensures the footmuff fits perfectly and provides the safest, most comfortable usage for your baby.
How do I wash the footmuff?
The footmuff is washable. We recommend gentle hand washing or a delicate machine cycle with natural detergent. Lay flat to dry to preserve the natural wool and cotton fibers.
Is the wool safe for babies with sensitive skin?
Yes. The sheep wool we use is natural, hypoallergenic, and carefully selected to be safe and gentle for the sensitive baby skin.
What is your return policy?
Because each footmuff is made to order, we do not accept returns or refunds unless there is a fault with the product. Every piece is carefully checked before it leaves our studio, and we do our very best to ensure this never happens.
Can the footmuff be used outside of the stroller?
Absolutely! While designed to fit carrycots, the footmuff can also be used indoors — for naps, playtime on the floor, or simply keeping your baby warm and cozy on chilly days. Just be careful with your newborn not overheating, since the footmuff is very warm.
